History and Previous Examples Worldwide

 

A worldwide competition organized for approximately 20 years by the Egyptian Ministry of Culture to reflect the views of children (up to 18 years) related to Egypt in various aspects. The competition aims at building stronger ties of new generations with Egypt as well as giving them opportunities to explore more about Egypt.

Arbitration is done by Egyptian experts in the different cultural fields, and the prizes are golden medals, silver medals and certificates of merits offered by the Egyptian Ministry of Culture. Kindly note that the age for children participation is limited from 4 years old to 18 years old.

The 2016/2017 version of the competition calls for the followings, where the deadline for submission is December 31st 2016, and address for submission shown below:

 

1- Painting Competition

Subject of the Competition

Free painting subject chosen by the child to express his/her point of view about Egypt.

Aim of the Competition

Giving the children from all over the world the chance to show their views about Egypt, concerning its history, present time and future.

Guidelines:

Each participant can participate with maximum two paintings, print on the back of the work "Painting Competition 2016/2017" in addition to the personal information requested below.

Size of work not less than 30 cm x 40 cm

Any painting technique could be used with the exception of lead pencils

Computer graphics are welcomed (please consider sending 2 CDs or DVDs)

The organizing committee will not return the received art work

Deadline for submittal is 30 December 2016

Important personal information should be printed back of the submitted work including: Full name, Date of birth, Gender, Nationality, Country, Telephone number including area codes and full address.

 

2- Photography Competition

Subject of the Competition

Portrait - Free - Architecture - Nature.

Aim of the Competition

Encouraging children to express themselves through observing nature, people and life by photography.

Guidelines:

Each participant can participate with maximum two works, print on the back of the work "Photography Competition 2016/2017" in addition to the personal information requested below.

The organizing committee will not return the received art work

Deadline for submittal is 30 December 2016

3- Handmade Toy Competition

Subject of the Competition

Making hand toys inspired by the imagination and the folklore.

Aim of the Competition

Discovering talented children and developing their imagination and creation skills.

Guidelines:

Each participant can participate with maximum two works, print and post on the work "Handmade Toy Competition 2016/2017" in addition to the personal information requested below.

The organizing committee will not return the received art work

Deadline for submittal is 30 December 2016
